I finished this painting on Friday, November 27. I was happy with the sense of light and atmosphere. I'm really enjoying my acrylics lately. I go through phases of painting with one medium or another. I have been experimenting with using alcohol to soften certain areas and wipe or scrape the painting. It creates some nice edges and contrasts.

This painting is in process. Check back in a few days and maybe I will have finished it.

It was a good weekend at the Holiday Sale at the Ward Bakery Building. I sold a few paintings, met a lot of nice people and even got some painting done. Here is a painting a completed and one that I got started. I really enjoy doing these demos during shows like this. I seem to paint with a bit more abandon and my brushwork and decision making is a bit more instinctual. The holiday show will be going on again on Saturday, Nov 28 from 12-5. Very cool event-great art in a strange, funky old building.
